beach is counted among the longest beaches in Asia.

Mahabalipuram BeachLying 58 km south of Chennai, the beach is also
called by the name of Mamallapuram. Once a thriving port during the times of the
Pandavas it is beautifully decorated with stone chiseled monuments. Along the
sunny beach there are a crocodile farm, a Snake venom extracting center and
monolithic caves all adds to the much needed attraction for the tourist to visit
to the beach.
