ITINERARY

Day 01: Bangalore
Upon arrival our representative will greet you at Bangalore Airport/ Railway Station. Reach & check-in at the hotel and relax for a while amidst the comforts of your room. Later proceed for the sightseeing of Bangalore. The major tourist attractions are Vidhana Soudha, a magnificent building of the Neo-Dravidian style which houses the State Legislature. The Bull Temple, one of the oldest temples in Bangalore situated in Basavanagudi and dedicated to Nandi, the mount of lord Shiva. It is a sculptural magnum opus which is carved out of a single rock. Ulsoor Lake which is ideal for rowing around in a boat or to sprawl on the green grass that surrounds the lake. One can sit and relax on the small islands that are on the lake. Lal Bagh, which is famous for its unique achievement in nurturing the concept of horticulture and aiding the development of horticulture. Cubbon Park - the uppermost attractions are the marble statues of Queen Victoria and Edward VII.

Day 02: Bangalore – Mysore (140 kms. – 04 hrs.)
Upon arrival our representative will greet you at Bangalore Airport/ Railway Station. Later proceed to Mysore. Enroute visit Srirangapatanam where one can see the spectacular island fortress of Srirangapatnam, the capital of Hyder Ali and his son Tippu Sultan. Other attractions at Srirangapatnam are Daria Doulata – Tippu Sultan’s Summer Palace & Gumbuz – Tippu’s Mausoleum. Later proceed to Mysore the land with numerous domes, towers and battlements; it is sheer luxury in the form of a palace. Reach & check-in at the hotel & relax for a while amidst the comforts of your room.

Day 03 : Mysore
Enjoy the sumptuous breakfast. Later proceed to visit the sprawling Maharaja’s Palace with its outstanding treasures and ivory inlaid doors. Having splendid affair with intricate carvings on the huge palatial doors should not be missed on any account. It is lavishly decorated with stained glasses, mirrors, pillars, paintings and jewels. Also visit St. Philomena’s Church, a beautiful Cathedral reminiscent of Medieval Architecture with stained glass Windows and lofty Towers. Mysore Zoo, one of the oldest zoos in the country was established in 19th century and houses many endangered species. Later drive outside the city to Chamundi Hills to visit huge Nandi Bull statue. Explore your evening by proceeding to Brindavan Gardens which is one of its kind in the country and located 19 kms from Mysore. The World Famous Terrace Gardens with Musical Fountains which gets transformed into a dreamland by night with swirling waters, colourful lights and melodious music that comes alive once the sun sets. This ornamental garden is situated at the base of Krishnaraja Sagar dam across Cauvery River.

Day 04 : Mysore - Ooty (164 kms. – 04 hrs.)
Enjoy the sumptuous breakfast. Later proceed to Ooty, the land where green mountains and azure sky roll down to embrace quivering beds of crimson roses below. Ooty the place that not only provides natural splendors, but also gives you a taste of its various man-made wonders. On the way you can watch Bandipur Wildlife Sanctuary, Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary along with Kalhatty Waterfalls. Bandipur & Mudumalai is the home for about 25 tigers, 700 wild elephants, leopards, panthers, 1,000 gaur (Indian bison), bears, bonnet monkeys, horned antelopes, flying squirrels, hyenas and eagles. Kalhatty Waterfalls is a mesmerizing experience with breath taking view on both sides of the road to Kalhatty. Check-in at the hotel and relax for a while amidst the comforts of your room. Later proceed for Ooty sightseeing. The major attractions are Botanical Garden, a stylish garden bordering immense variety of flowering bushes, flowers, plants, fern house with a vast range of ferns and orchids, a clear pool are some of the highlights of this garden. Ooty Lake has an irregular L shape and stretches for more than 2 km in length. The width of the lake varies at regular intervals. Day 05 : Ooty
Enjoy the sumptuous breakfast. Later proceed for the sightseeing of Coonoor, the place surrounded by the tea plantations. The major attractions are Pasteur Institute, just opposite to the Sim's Park, established in 1907. Sim's Park is the place where individual tree specimens are planted all over the place, giving a special charm to the park. This beautiful park is situated in a deep ravine and has eight major sections. The winding footpaths spreaded all over the park is the most distinctive and lovable feature of this park. Lamb's Rock is 08 kms. from Coonoor and on the way to Dolphin's Nose. It commands a grand view of the Coimbatore Plains. Laws Falls is a beautiful picnic spot, situated at Coonoor-Mettupalayam road at a distance of 07 kms. from Coonoor. The height of the falls is about 180 feets. It is just a paradise for Nature lovers.

Day 06 : Ooty – Munnar (240 kms. – 07 hrs.)
Enjoy the sumptuous breakfast. Later proceed to Munnar, the place where the unfolded green carpet is waiting for you. Munnar is breathtakingly beautiful, a haven of peace and tranquility - the idyllic tourist destination in God's own country. Munnar is the gateway of Hills in South India. On the way you can also watch the lovely waterfalls in Cheeyappara and colourful flowers in Blossom Garden. Reach & check-in at the hotel and relax for a while amidst the comforts of your room. Explore rest of the day along with the nature.

Day 07 : Munnar
Enjoy the sumptuous breakfast. Later proceed for a morning sightseeing trip of Munnar; visiting the Eravikulam National Park where you can see the very rare mountain goats locally called the Nilgiri Tahr, visit Mattupetty Dam which offers many fascinating sights to relish. The Shola forests around Mattupetty are ideal for trekking and bird watching, with the variety of birds found there. Kundala is a picturesque town located at the confluence of three mountain streams namely Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala. Enroute visit Echo Point, View Point & green carpet of Tea Gardens.

Day 08 : Munnar – Kumarakom (130 kms. – 03 ½ hrs.)
Enjoy the sumptuous breakfast. Later proceed to Kumarakom. Check-in at your hotel and relax for a while amidst the comforts of your room. Kumarakom is one of the few places in the world where the means for transportation is through boats. Kumarakom is blessed with the Vembanad Lake which has its majestic canals, streams and distributaries along its banks weave an intricate and enchantingly beautiful web. The major attraction of Kumarakom is the Bird Sanctuary which lies at the edge of the grounds of an old estate where a profusion of all kinds of birds can be observed. Domestic birds such as cuckoo, wild duck, egrets, darters, herons, teal, and water fowl can be seen in abundance here, and the Siberian storks which migrate to this place each year.

Day 09 : Houseboat
Enjoy the sumptuous breakfast. Later proceed to the boat Jetty, board the beautifully decorated houseboats and begin the enchanting backwater cruising. The backwaters of Kerala is a unique product of Kerala and is found no where else in the world. A glide in a "Kettuvallam" (Houseboat) through the enchanting backwaters is sure to rob your heart. You’re in a watery universe, so quiet, even you can hear your own blood pumping around your head. Sparkling greens, emerald backwaters, coir-laden houseboats and magical beauty heals your mind and body as you travel to surreal Kerala.

Day 10 : Houseboat – Varkala (110 kms – 03 hrs)
Enjoy the sumptuous breakfast. Later proceed to Varkala. Reach & check-in at the hotel and relax for a while amidst the comforts of your room. Later explore the beach on your own. Varkala, a calm and quiet hamlet, lies on the outskirts of Thiruvananthapuram district. The secluded beach, craggy rocks and the hint of undulating backwaters. With the backdrop of rocky cliffs Varkala Beach provides a perfect contrast to the lapping waves. Papanasam Beach is among the prominent places of Varkala Beach. The evening sun dipping slowly into the mammoth ocean and filling the whole place with colours red and orange is a breathtaking view.

Day 11: Varkala
Enjoy the sumptuous breakfast. Later proceed for the sightseeing of 2000 yrs. old Janardhana Temple. The temple of Janardhana is a fine example of Kerala art and architecture and is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Sivagiri Mutt is a religious site, founded by Sree Narayana Guru (1856 – 1952), the famous philosopher and social reformer of modern Kerala. Kappil Lake gives way to the pictorial world of the Kerala backwaters. The scenic beauty of the estuaries of the lake is mesmerizing.

Day 12 : Varkala – Kovalam (66 kms. – 01½ hrs.)
Enjoy the sumptuous breakfast. Later proceed to Kovalam beach. Kovalam is known as the "Paradise of the South". This dreamland is an evergreen, serene, pleasant climatic and enticing beach destination. Reach & check-in at the hotel and relax for a while amidst the comforts of your room. Explore on your own to see how the everlasting sea touches the everlasting sky. Kovalam is the place where one can see the golden sand at the day time & silver sand in the night. With high rock promontory and a calm bay of blue waters, this beach paradise creates a unique aquarelle on moonlight nights.

Day 13 : Kovalam – Trivandrum – Kovalam
Enjoy the sumptuous breakfast. Later proceed for the sightseeing of Trivandrum. Thiruvananthapuram literally means Ananthapuri, "the city of Ananthan", the Thiru (Great/Lord) Ananthan's Puram (City). Ananthan is the serpent Sesha on whom Padmanabhan or Vishnu reclines. The temple of Anantha, the Sri Padmanabhaswamy temple is the most religious icon of the city. Other sightseeing places are Kuthiramalika Palace Museum, the name Kuthiramalika means 'palace of horses' derived from the frieze of 122 wooden horses on the exterior walls. Veli Tourist Village, which has an excellent waterfront park with a wide range of aqua entertainment facilities like fishponds, wading pools and landscaped garden. Shangumugham Beach where one can watch the amazing sunset.

Day 14 : Kovalam – Trivandrum (20 kms. – 45 mins.)
