Some of the exquisite beaches in Karnataka that comes to the fore front though less in numbers are Bhatkal Beach, Karwar Beach, Murudeswar Beach, Kurumgad and Malpe Beach.


While Bhatkal is famous for the Pranalinga of Mahabaleswara thrown by Ravana, it also contains beautiful picnic spots and forts. The tortoise shaped island apart from the beach is also famous for the Narashimha temple. Beach activities like trekking, fishing, boat cruising are common.
