Bounded by the state of Andhra Pradesh to the
east, the massive Arabian Sea on the west and the Industrial state of Maharastra
along with the beach Country Goa to its North west, the entire state of
Karnataka formerly Mysore is a delight. Decorated with amazing temples, this
picturesque state is endowed with a 320 kms long coast line and is blessed in
terms of fertility by the river Cauvery and the Tungabhadra.

The 320 kms coast line is dotted with innumerable beaches that liven’s up the
spirit of the visitors to a high.. The palm fringed beaches offers a perfect
destination for relaxation and recreation by the sea shores at peace with
nature. The atmosphere, the scenic beauty, the beautiful ambiance, the fishing
boat in the sea, the sea stalls selling variety of cooked sea foods, the
sparkling waters of the sea hitting the rocky shores are all astonishing to view
with the eyes. It is just a feeling of euphoria !
Far from the city
life the beaches are an alternative to the weary and workaholic office goers to
have a break from normal routine. The serenity of the village life undisturbed
from the massive strides of globalisation makes these beaches places of heavenly
abode and there are not to be find more natural paradise than the beaches for a
quick outing alone or with the family. Some of the exquisite beaches in
Karnataka that comes to the fore front though less in numbers are Bhatkal Beach,
Karwar Beach, Murudeswar Beach, Kurumgad and Malpe Beach.
While
Bhatkal is famous for the Pranalinga of Mahabaleswara thrown by Ravana, it also
contains beautiful picnic spots and forts. The tortoise shaped island apart from
the beach is also famous for the Narashimha temple. Beach activities like
trekking, fishing, boat cruising are common. Malpa, the virgin beach is full of
golden sands and is an idle place for sun bathing.
